Requirement Gathering, Shortlisting, Screening and Submission Process

The moment your organization turns to DataCaliper for talent help, our process begins and our team gets to work:

Step 1: Knowledge Transfer

We start by familiarizing ourselves with your organization, the website, your mission, your products and services, and most importantly, the project at hand.

Then, we’ll work with you to identify what skills are required for each role, and why. We'll develop requirement overviews: (title, skills, expectations, start date, duration, visa requirements, interview process, etc.).

Next comes technology verification; we’ll go through your tech stack and identify the most important tools/technologies a candidate will need to be familiar with.

Step 2: Internal Planning Phase

An internal strategy meeting defines the requirements further. A list of ‘must-haves’ and ‘nice-to-haves' is developed for our recruitment team to focus on.

Formulation of “Pre-Screen” questions (asked by recruiters on the first call) and full technology screening questions (asked by our technical team during a full screening) is done at this point. These ensure candidate quality and help to identify unqualified candidates early. Our team, starting with the recruiters and including the tech team, employs a ten-metric qualification process.

Step 3: Execution

At this point, armed with information, our recruiters get to work. We have developed a strong network of tens of thousands of engineers, through social media, past clients, our current bench, and through personal/professional connections. This ‘warm-bench’ helps ensure responsiveness, quality and speed.

Step 4: Internal Processing

Once found all candidates face a technical screening tailored to the specific needs for a given role. These conversations happen over video conference and are used to analyze technical knowledge, technical communication skills, experience level, etc.

Candidates then speak with account managers for a second screening which we call a ‘deliverability’ check. Questions are asked about their feelings on relocation (if required), overall interest in the role and company, their work history and recent employment, etc. Also, an analysis of soft skills, like communication and co-operation, is performed.

All of this helps us decide the overall likelihood that a candidate can actually be delivered to a client, and if the resource can perform well as a member of the team once there.

Step 5: Submission

Only after all of these steps are completed, and all screenings passed, is a resume ever submitted to our partners. This means any candidate you see carries our full confidence in their technical skill-level, soft-skills and communication abilities, as well as a having a genuine interest in, and a cultural fit with, your company. It is because of these standards that we can boast an industry unique 3 to 1 submission to hire rate.
